New Gait Manor Equestrian Centre, New Englands premier horse resort, is
an oasis for anyone interested in studying the equestrian arts. This quiet
setting in Weare New Hampshire, surrounded by acres of open fields and
adjacent trails, presents an atmosphere of relaxation for both the horse and
rider where they can concentrate on honing their skills and refining their
partnership. Overnight accommodations are available for both the horse and rider on the farm. For those who are unable to travel with their horse, a school horse can be provided.
The beauty of the farm with its miles of white fence and gorgeous landscaping is embellished by the grace and splendor of its resident breed, the noble Lusitano Horse. At New Gait Manor, the services of the Lusitano Horse are enlisted for both breeding and lessons. The Lusitanos at New Gait Manor have been imported from Portugal only, the origin of the breed, where its exceptional qualities have been cultivated for centuries. New Gait Manor organizes trips to Portugal each year for those interested in purchasing a Lusitano, or those just wanting to enjoy the sites of this beautiful culture steeped in equestrian tradition.
The equestrian center features classical instruction and training for both dressage and jumping. Teachers and trainers at New Gait Manor have studied under the guiding principles of the European system of equestrian art education and have trained under the direction and tutelage of world renowned classical instructor, Georges Malleroni. New Gait Manor is pleased to be hosting four clinics with Georges during the summer and fall of this year.
In addition to quality instruction and training, the facility at New Gait Manor furnishes everything a horse person could want: A beautiful indoor, miles of trails, a show jumping field, an equi-ciser, a round pen, a first rate cross country course, and luxury accommodations for both the horse and rider. Students who wish to school the cross country course with their own instructors are welcome to call for an appointment.
